The event took place near the memorial dedicated to journalists who lost their lives in the pursuit of media freedom, located at Subramaniam Park in Jaffna. This followed a press conference held by the Jaffna Media Association.
In addition to the commemoration, a protest was organized to demand justice for journalists who were murdered or went missing during previous regimes.
The event was organized by the Jaffna Media Association in collaboration with media organizations from the North, East, and South.
