No Sri Lankans harmed by South Korea’s forest fires

Colombo, March 23 (Daily Mirror) – The Sri Lankan Embassy in South Korea has confirmed that no Sri Lankans have been affected by the forest fires currently ravaging the southeastern regions of the country.

The embassy assured that it is closely monitoring the situation for any impact on Sri Lankans living in the affected areas. Approximately 35,000 Sri Lankan workers reside in South Korea.

The fires have claimed the lives of four people, and efforts to extinguish the fires are ongoing.
