Mr.Freddy Gamage who is the editor of the Meepura.com was attacked by unidentified persons around 12.15pm. The monthly meeting of the Negambo Municipal council was held today (June 02) morning at the Municipal council premises. “Meepura” editor Mr.Freddy Gamage attended the meeting for media coverage. While he was returning to his vehicle after the meeting, two unidentified persons with two bars came on a motorbike had attacked editor. When he saw them Mr.Freddy Gamage had ran toward the municipal council to escape from the attack. Two unidentified attackers chased him till he enter to municipal council premises. Then he was hospitalized for the further treatments to Negombo General hospital. Negomobo police continues the further investigations regarding this shameful attack.
